It would be fantastic if under a particular project, you could add links to documents rather than having to upload the document into VP.

That way documents can stay in the place already allocated on the companies document server, but be readily findable by project.

This would also allow the easy sharing of documents between projects - two or more projects just link to the same external document.

The main aim of this feature is to allow current company document procedures to stay in place while harmonising well with VP.

VP would not version control the documents in this case.

We have discussed the possibility to be able to add URLs/links to issues in an easy fashion. I think this might cover your needs?

The benefit of keeping everything in VP (even if the documents are actually stored on a separate file server) is naturally that you can use all the different tools we have for documents.
