Field description - Fixed billing amount

Fixed billing amount shows the amount of money on this issue that is billable to external customers. This is not dependent on the actual time worked on the issue. Details:
Default name: Fixed billing amount (alt. Fixed price) Terminology variations: None. In-Use: Optional. This field can be set to be used in the issue field configuration. Mandatory: Optional. This field can be set as mandatory, but need not be. Data type: Decimal. This is a monetary value (Currency type is not shown, it is assumed to be your default currency). Access restrictions: (Default) Created: "Read/Write" for all internal users, and "No access" for external or support users. Editing: "Read/Write" for all internal users, and "No access" for external or support users. Relationships/Dependencies: This field is not dependent on actual time. It is just set as an amount on the issue. Billing amount: In general, you normally either use "Billing amount" (when you use work logs) or "Fixed billing amount", not both. Affected by these settings: General > Settings > Issue configurations > Issue rules. "Fixed billing amount" can be used in issue rules, either as a criterion, or being set in the rule action. Use cases: The fixed billing amount/fixed price represent the amount of money you can bill your end user/customer for things related to the issue. |
